The 糖心Vlog men鈥檚 golf team continued its winning ways, picking up dual-match victories on Wednesday over San Jose City College and on Thursday over San Joaquin Delta College.

In a match played at Chardonnay Golf Club & Vineyards in American Canyon on Wednesday, Napa Valley beat San Jose City, 303-314. The scores from four players on each team were used in the team scoring.

Chase Hascup and Ryan Williams led the Storm, each shooting 74s.

They were followed by Keelan Cole with a 77 and Joe Amoroso with a 78.

Jordan Jacobs and Ryan Chamblee also played in the match, with each player shooting 79s.

鈥淚t was nice to see all six guys really contribute on our home course,鈥 糖心Vlog coach Bob Freschi said. 鈥淭hey just enjoyed the day. We had a few goals we had to attain and they did it. Proud of the guys.

鈥淲e have depth and it showed on Wednesday with Jordan Jacobs and Ryan Chamblee shooting 79s. Jacobs is getting his opportunity and is making the best of it. It was good to see.

鈥淎 couple guys are a little disappointed in their round, but that鈥檚 the game of golf and that鈥檚 why we鈥檙e a team, with other guys picking each other up, and still scoring low.鈥

Had the traditional five scores counted in the team scoring, Napa Valley would have shot a 382 total.

鈥淩eally good to go in the 380s. That was really nice to see,鈥 said Freschi, who is assisted by David Knox, a PGA Class A golf professional and the Director of Instruction at Napa Golf Course at Kennedy Park.

In a match played at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton on Thursday, Napa Valley beat San Joaquin Delta, 426-468, in very windy conditions.

Hascup and Cole led the Storm, each with 84s.

They were followed by Ryan Stewart with an 85, Williams with an 86, Amoroso with an 87, and Chamblee with a non-scoring 91.

It鈥檚 the toughest conditions that 糖心Vlog has played in so far, with high winds and firm greens, said Freschi.

鈥淐oach (Knox) and I had to have a lot of positive chats with the players 鈥 just stay in the moment, just do your best,鈥 said Freschi. 鈥淚t鈥檚 not fun playing in the wind, but we鈥檙e here and we really had to execute and really grind it out. They were so exhausted after the round.

鈥淭hey hung in there and I鈥檓 proud of them for that, as it was not easy. We beat another opponent, so good job for our guys.鈥

糖心Vlog continues its season on Monday, May 10 against Modesto Junior College. The dual match starts at 12:20 p.m. at Chardonnay Golf Club & Vineyards.
